We meet every Sunday morning at 10.30 am in the School Hall at Warriner School, Bloxham – come just as you are, we are a very relaxed and friendly Church.
We are a church family of around 120 people from all walks of life with one common belief – we love Jesus as our Lord and Saviour and it is our aim to live our lives serving Him, and sharing His Gospel with others.
We typically start our Sunday service altogether, with the children, for the first half-hour or so for a time of sung worship, bible reading and prayer. There is no need to worry if your children want to chatter or wander off to join their friends in the congregation, we are quite used to this. Songs are projected onto a large screen. They are mostly modern worship songs, but we do include traditional hymns from time to time. In fact, we try to accommodate all tastes in Christian music.
After sharing our ‘Family News’ the children leave us to go to their own activities. There is:
Our Children and Families Pastor, Rachel, is always on the lookout for newcomers and will give you a warm welcome, and explain to you in more detail where the children meet.
After the children leave we have a time of Worship and Intercessory Prayer which is led each week by a member of the congregation. Our Pastor Mike, a guest speaker, or one of our members with a gift of preaching then brings God’s Word to us. There is often an opportunity to share a testimony during the service.
We promote a different mission each month during the year. A representative for the mission will share facts, encouragements and concerns for prayer during the morning service. On certain months there will be a gift day to raise money for the mission we are supporting.
Our service normally finishes around 12 noon. If something has resonated with you during the service, or you come carrying a burden there is an opportunity for prayer ministry from a member of our Prayer Ministry Team.
We share a time of fellowship together after the service in the Hall and this is a great time to get to know one another and catch up with friends.
On the second Sunday of each month, we have a an All Age ‘café style’ Service led by our Children and Families Pastor and her team.
On the first and third Sunday each month we share Family Communion together during the morning service.
On Saturdays at 8am and Wednesdays at 7.30pm we meet together to worship and pray at the Chapel. The Saturday morning meeting is currently online – please drop our Pastor, Mike, an email and he’ll let you know the details.
Every fifth Sunday we meet at 6pm for an evening of worship and prayer with our brothers and sisters from St Mary’s Church of England. Either at Hawke Lane Chapel or in St Mary’s.
Details of these services are given in our weekly news sheet, during our family news in our main service and in our notices which are published on the main screen before the morning service.
