No matter who you are, or what your age, a warm welcome awaits you at Bloxham Baptist Church!

In normal times, we meet every Sunday morning at 10.30 am in the School Hall at Warriner School, Bloxham, where you can be sure of a warm welcome. If you come to join us – come just as you are, we are a very relaxed and friendly Church.  Currently, we are meeting online due to COVID-19 and you’d be just as welcome to connect to us there. Email our Church Secretary for details on how to join the services.

We are a church family of around 120 people from all walks of life with one common belief – we love Jesus as our Lord and Saviour and it is our aim to live our lives serving Him, and sharing His Gospel with others.

Every Sunday morning at 10.30 am at Warriner School Hall.

2nd Sunday a reflective Communion Service at 9.00 am at The Chapel, Hawke Lane followed by Café Style Family Service at Warriner School Hall at 10.30 am

What happens during our meeting?

We typically start our Sunday service altogether, with the children, for the first half-hour or so for a time of sung worship, bible reading and prayer. There is no need to worry if your children want to chatter or wander off to join their friends in the congregation, we are quite used to this. Songs are projected onto a large screen. They are mostly modern worship songs, but we do include traditional hymns from time to time. In fact, we try to accommodate all tastes in Christian music.

After sharing our ‘Family News’ the children leave us to go to their own activities. There is:

  • Creche for babies and toddlers;
  • Carousel for 4 – 11 year
  • Connected for the 11 -14-year-olds
  • Over 14s have a short time out with our youth leaders and then come back for the main talk

Our Children and Families worker, Rachel, is always on the lookout for newcomers and will give you a warm welcome, and explain to you in more detail where the children meet.

After the children leave we have a time of Worship and Intercessory Prayer which is led each week by a member of the congregation. Our Pastor Mike, one of our Regionally Recognised Ministers, or one of our members with a gift of preaching then brings God’s Word to us.

Our service normally finishes around 12 noon. If something has resonated with you during the service, or you come carrying a burden there is an opportunity for prayer ministry from a member of our Prayer Ministry Team.

We share tea, coffee and fellowship together after the service in the Hall and this is a great time to get to know one another and catch up with friends.

Second Sundays – Communion Service and Family Service

On the second Sunday of each month, we have a short, reflective Communion Service at our Chapel in Hawke Lane, it is followed at 10.30 am at The Warriner School by a Café Style Family Service led by our Children and Families worker and her team. This is an interactive service for all the family and frequently it includes Girls’ Brigade Parade. You are welcome to help yourself to a coffee and take it to your table before this service.

Communion during the main service

On the third Sunday each month we share Family Communion together during the morning service.

Prayer Meetings

On Saturdays at 8am and Wednesdays at 7.30pm we meet together to worship and pray. These meetings are currently online – please drop our Pastor, Mike, an email and he’ll let you know the details.

Evening Services

There are occasional evening services, around once every four months, when we meet with our friends from our ‘Cluster’ of Churches. We rotate around the cluster churches and our Hawke Lane Chapel for this.

Details of these services are given in our weekly news sheet, during our family news in our main service and in our notices which are published on the main screen before the morning service.
