Street Pastors – Ascension Trust

Street Pastors was pioneered in the UK in 2003 by Les Isaac. That first night, 18 volunteers took to the streets of Brixton, London. Since then the initiative has grown to encompass a network of trained volunteers, across the country, who engage with people on the streets to care for them, listen to them and help them.

In Banbury, Street Pastors has been running for about ten years, taking its members from more than five local churches. Hampered severely by the constraints of the pandemic over the last two years, we are seeking to refresh and rejuvenate our outreach for 2022
