In our mission focus for March. Sam and the team share what they are doing as a charity to support child mental health locally. As an early intervention mental health charity, Standing in the Gap aim to support children and families before they hit crisis.
As a charity their values are: to build emotional wellbeing with kindness, using empowering partnerships in a safe and professional manner motivated by our Christian faith. Standing in the Gap do this by offering online and community-based workshops looking at Managing Anxiety and supporting school transitions.
In March they are launching their New Managing Grief project helping families support children through grief and in September a new Managing Anger workshop will be going live. They have a good range of emotional wellbeing videos aimed at supporting children to understand themselves and manage their big emotions, such as fear, anxiety, anger and grief.
During the month of March, Standing in the Gap will also be launching their new Prayer Partners initiative and encouraging us to specifically pray in support of them.
